We look forward to welcoming you to

LEAP Week in-person!

July 18th - 23rd, 2021

Program Details

The information below is intended to help you prepare for LEAP Week 2021 and answer any questions you may have.

What to expect from LEAP Week:

Each day at LEAP Week will bring unique speakers and workshops, packed with helpful, implementable insight and information.

LEAP Week 2021 will run daily from 9AM - 5PM. There is no supervised residential component to LEAP Week 2021. See FAQ below for hotel accommodation information at the Luskin Conference Center at UCLA.

Overview of schedule:

Whether you’re an aspiring college student in our high school program or entering the workforce in our college program, the principles of success you learn at LEAP cannot compare to what you find in the classroom.

LEAP Week will kick off daily at 9AM PST at the Luskin Conference Center where motivational and guest speakers will share their wisdom with students, followed by some of LEAP's Core Curriculum.

At 11AM, we will break into small groups. A small group will consist of participants around the same age, led by a coach who is an alumni of LEAP Week. At 12PM we will break for lunch, boxed lunches will be provided.

Upon returning from lunch at 1PM, you can expect 1 to 2 more core curriculum topics and special guests before again to meet with your small group. After our second small group meeting, there may be one more guest speaker before concluding in the evening.

This will be the basic format but things may change as we add speakers to our lineup.

What to bring:

All attendees will be given a LEAP T-shirt!

Since many students will be traveling in to Los Angeles for LEAP Week, below are a few recommendations for what to bring. Those students who are commuting to and from UCLA daily should come prepared to be at UCLA each day from 9AM - 5PM.

LEAP Week 2021 attendees can wear casual clothing for the program from Monday to Thursday, but on Friday professional attire is required for our Mentor Workshop. During the mentor workshop, participants are able to sit down with accomplished executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals from diverse fields. During this session, business / professional attire is required, so please bring wear a professional outfit. Business / professional attire is only required on the final day of LEAP, all other days casual clothing is suitable.

Look forward to...

LEAP Idol: LEAP's Talent Show

Thursday night, the program will celebrate with a LEAP Idol Talent Show! Last year’s show was a ~ virtual~ blast and the audience was blown away by the talent. Please bring any costumes, props, musical instruments, background music, etc. if you wish to perform.

Final day celebration/ dance party

The Friday afternoon celebration is a chance for everyone to say goodbye to their newfound friends. If you’re nervous about attending a party with a group of people you’ve never met, remember that you’ll be building friendships throughout the week and will have a great time!
